Busy Work

So, since Chris and I are unemployed, and we apparently have no lives right now, we have invented things to occupy us and keep us feeling like we are doing something with our lives.

Busy Work #1: Scrapbooking - Now, I really enjoy scrapbooking and it is quite useful when you want to create something to remember memories, but I think I have hit an all-time crazy level this summer. I have scrapbooked our spring break NYC trip, and by the end of the summer, I will have completely scrapbooked our engagement, wedding, and honeymoon. I will probably also start on my Ireland scrapbook. This is how much time I have on my hands. Ridiculous.

Busy Work #2: Ebay selling - Chris' dad is a great artist, and paints aviation art that he used to take to air shows to sell. Well, he doesn't really do that anymore, but he has hundreds and hundreds of paintings and prints that Chris and I have determined that we can sell on Ebay. It's actually kind of exciting. Chris and I will be getting a small portion of the profits, and we'll be helping his dad out. If anyone knows of anyone interested in some aviation art, please let us know!

This particular painting is called "Pair of Aces" and the prints are signed by Chuck Yeager (1st guy to break the sound barrier). Pretty cool!

Busy Work #3: Chick-Fil-A Grand Openings - a couple of weeks ago, Chris and I went to a Chick-Fil-A in Winston-Salem that was opening. You get there at 5:30am, and fill out a raffle ticket. At 6:00am they stop taking contestants, and draw 100 names. That is the "First 100" that, if they stay in the parking lot for a full 24 hours, they will receive 50 coupons for free #1 combos. Well, 300 people showed up at this particular opening, and I got my name called!! Chris could stay with me, and we camped out in the parking lot for 24 hours! Woo-hoo! We tried to get some friends to do it with us, but they all have these crazy things called jobs.

We also met this really cool couple (also currently unemployed) Steve & Liz. They got married 4 weeks ago, and they were on their way back from leading music & drama at a church camp in Virginia. We played lots of Uno and cornhole.

Now, Chris and I eat at Chick-Fil-A an average of once a week. It's kinda crazy, but totally worth it! :)
